The Journey Evolves
Growth, silence, and the slow unfolding of something new.
“Where have you been?!”
“It’s like you fell off the face of the planet!!!”
Guilty as charged👐🏽
I took some time away. I’ll borrow a seed analogy my pastor always uses — but with a little twist. 😉
So, you know how you plant that little corn seed and a few months later, you have your first stalk of corn and along with it, a thousand potential stalks from the seeds they produce? That’s kind of what happened.
However, for this new stalk to grow, I had to put that little seed in the ground and watch it rest, tussle and die a little for a while in silence, darkness and obscurity and now we see the first little peak of foliage from the ground.
For a long time, this blog has been home to my musings on faith — a space to share reflections, heart cries, and little pieces of light I’ve found along the way. And truly, it’s been one of the most beautiful spaces to grow in.
But lately, I’ve felt a stirring. A gentle, persistent invitation to widen the lens a little more.
To ask different questions.
To explore identity, society, growth, and the strange, winding journey of becoming.
This doesn’t mean my faith is being pushed to the background — if anything, it still breathes through everything I do. But I’m learning that the fullness of who I am also includes these deeper wonderings about life, originality, creativity, systems, and selfhood.
So, this is me — gently opening the door.
You’ll still find familiar traces here. The poems. The soft thoughts. The honest reflections. But alongside them, you may begin to notice new shapes: longer essays, cultural critiques, explorations of development, and those random bursts of overthinking that somehow turn into something meaningful.
I don’t have it all figured out yet. This space will probably evolve as I do. But if you’ve read my words before and found resonance, I hope you’ll stay.
There’s a lot more to say.
Welcome to the next chapter 🤎
